Barmouth Beach

Barmouth’s long, sandy beach is very popular with families and has long been a holder of the coveted Blue Flag award.

The beach is large and perfect for sunbathing, games, swimming and surfing (depending on the swells and time of year). Kids love the beach yet its size means those wanting to get away and relax in peace and quite can do so easily.

Other activities at Barmouth beach include windsurfing, canoeing, sailing and jet skiing. At low tide it is also possible to walk as far as Harlech to the north with wonderful views over Tremadog Bay.

A land train runs along the promenade with donkey rides, swing boats and amusement arcades. It also has a large range of shops, pubs, a leisure centre and a funfair from March to October.
