Cwmafan is a village in the Afan Valley. Surrounded by hills the biggest being Foel Fynyddau which stands 370m (1200ft) high and lies on the northern edge of the village. The River Afan runs through the village from North East to South West. The Afan Valley is world famous for its mountain biking. It has it all from flowing swooping single-track threading through beautiful forest to exposed rocky double track on wide open hills.
