Fishing in Betws y Coed
Enjoy river fishing and lake fishing in the Betws y Coed area of North Wales.
River Llugwy is the main river running through Betws y Coed and both banks can be fished for 2.5 miles up to Swallow Falls. The main features are the Viaduct Pool, Farm Pool and Royal Oak Run. There are a number of pools and small runs that hold fish well at the end of the season. River Llugwy is suitable for all abilities, with several quiet spots for anyone who wish to try their hand at fishing for the first time.
Llyn Crafnant is situated a short drive from Betws y Coed and specialises in trout fishing. Rainbow and brown trout can be found here and the 63 metres of lake enables you to try your hand at Fly, Spinning or ledger with worm fishing. Day tickets and evening tickets for adults, children and OAP’s can be purchased at the Lakeside Café situated on site and is open 8am to dusk throughout the fishing season 20th March through to October.
