Lampeter is the home of the oldest UniversityCollege in Wales andis the oldest degree-awarding institution in Wales and England after Oxford and Cambridge. There is splendid countryside scenery to be enjoyed in the Lampeter area - and wonderful angling on the river Teifi. There are numerous independant shops to wonder around and a range of restaurants and public houses. Nearby the Ty Mawr Mansion at Cilcennin runs weekly ‘Flicks in the Sticks’ nights in their small in-house cinema in addition to serving food.
