It is possible to walk or cycle around the lake which is a 10 mile route but you could also reduce this by using the Bala Lake Railway or a local bus to take you to the other end. The woute will take you through moorland, farmland and forestry and you will see amazing views of the Penllyn area and also the Aran, Arenig and Berwyn mountains. The Loch café is also popular set alongside the lake and serves home made cakes and light refreshments.
