Watersports in Abersoch and Llyn Peninsula

Abersoch and the Llyn Peninsula is a haven for watersports enthusiasts. The diversity of the coastline means that there are suitable beaches, facilities and conditions for a wide range of activities including surfing, wind-surfing, kite surfing, scuba diving, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing and sailing.

The sheltered bay of Abersoch Bay offers ideal conditions for wakeboarding and waterskiing, sailing, power boating and windsurfing.

Surfers and bodyboarders are catered for at Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth), Porth Ceiriad and Porth Oer, beaches that are exposed to regular Atlantic swells.

Pwllheli, the unofficial ‘capital’ of the Llŷn Peninsula offers one of the finest marinas in Western Britain that berths over 400 boats with more boats moored up in the harbour.
