Beaches in Mid Wales and Brecon Beacons & Self Catering Nearby

Aberdyfi Beach and self catering accommodation nearby...

Aberdyfi is a small, picturesque resort situated on the border between Mid and North Wales at the mouth of the River Dyfi's estuary. It offers a beautiful sandy beach backed by sand dunes, with amazing views centred on Ynys Las beach at the other side of the estuary.

There's plenty to do with boat trips and fishing trips from the harbour, and watersports galore including canoeing, sailing, and windsurfing. The wide expanse of sand makes it popular with families and it’s also the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the fantastic views.

Ynyslas Beach and self catering accommodation nearby...

Ynyslas offers a highly attractive stretch of sand along the Mid Wales coastline and is located 1.5 miles north of Borth with views across the estuary to Aberdyfi. Ynyslas is part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve and is home to many rare plants and animals.

There are toilets and a small shop at the visitor centre which is open from Easter to September. It’s also possible to park your vehicle on the beach (pay and display). Whilst the estuary is not a safe place to swim or sail, Ynyslas is popular for kite-flying, and is a great spot for walking or relaxing with waymarked boardwalks and trails through the sand dunes.
