Diners rarely leave disappointed from the former coaching inn, which is owned and run by the brother and sister team of Arthur and Betty Davies. Arthur, a local farmer has had the property for more than ten years and gave it a major makeover recently, keeping the old hostelry's charm and character.

Good food is a priority at the Tafarn Ffostrasol Arms with traditional favourites scattering the main menu. Old favourites include beef lasagne and home made beef and ale pie. There is also a range of steak, fish and vegetarian dishes on the extensive menu, which uses local produce wherever possible (A children's menu is available). On Sunday lunch time Betty takes over the kitchen and her roast dinners are so popular that booking is essential. Food is served from 12pm-2.30pm and from 5.30pm-9pm every day. The well-stocked bar offers a wide choice of bevereges including two real ales - Hancocks HB and Brains SA, which can be enjoyed in the beer garden, which has a retractable awning. There are two self-contained flats located above the main premises, which are available all year round. The inn also caters for functions, from day trips, to weddings. The Ffostrasol Arms,  famous locally for its good bar food. Bettys Sunday lunch is highly recommended by the locals, although advance booking is necessary. Tel : 01239 851348
