Llofft yr Yd cottage offers 5 star, luxury accommodation near Abersoch. Situated 1/2 a mile from Porth Neigwl sandy beach, popular with surfers and bathers. The cottage also comes with a children’s play area, games room and river fishing. Converted from a 19th century barley store loft, the cottage has an open plan living area that beautifully maintains its original features.
Ground Floor
Llofft yr Yd holiday cottage has one twin and one en-suite double bedroom with under floor heating on the ground floor.
Upstairs
Open plan living area with a wealth of pine beams separating the fully equipped kitchen / dinning and seating area. The living area offers comfortable, luxury seating and includes a new plasma TV wall mounted, DVD and CD/radio. Upstairs is heated by oil filled radiators and a wall mounted electric fire.
From here there is a door leading out to the new external flight of steps down to the patio and garden area, which has beautiful countryside views. Adjacent to the living area is the largest, en-suite bedroom comprising of a magnificent four poster bed and a child single bed. The main bathroom is also opposite to the living area with a Jacuzzi for relaxing and unwinding. Some original stonewalls and character has also been restored in the bedrooms.

The cottage has an outside patio with seating and a children’s play area.

Llofft yr Yd Cottage is situated on a working farm in a beautiful location on the Lleyn Peninsula. Just over ½ a mile away from Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth) beach, popular with surfers, and Abersoch (3 miles), which is well known for water sports activities. Several other sandy beaches, coves and rock pools are also within a few miles of Llofft yr Yd cottage.
The picturesque village of Llangian with Post Office/shop and a 6th Century Church lies a mile away. Llanengan village has a fine medieval church and a country pub (delicious grub!) one and a half miles away. Both villages have a telephone kiosk.
The Lleyn Peninsula, where the Welsh language and way of life still flourish, is renowned for its beautiful beaches and water sport. With nearly 100 miles of stunning coastline, an array of hills of varying height inland plus the majestic mountains of Snowdonia on your doorstep, it’s also a great place to come for a walking holiday.
Take a boat trip to Bardsey Island, a former site of religious pilgrimage, try your hand at fishing, horse-riding or golf and enjoy go-karting, ten-pin bowling, archery etc at Glasfryn Parc. Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, a magnificent Manor with galleries, beautiful gardens and tea room with sea views is well worth a visit, whilst Ffestiniog Railway, castles and the Italian village of Portmeirion are all nearby.
