Cycling the Hafren Forest Trail

The Hafren Forest Cycle Trail near Llanidloes, Mid Wales is suitable for cyclists of all ability with many tracks and roads going along the River Severn (Afon Hafren in Welsh). The Hafren has been carefully managed to maintain the natural wildlife and peaceful surroundings making it a really enjoyable place to have a relaxing day out. You can spot a variety of birds, buzzards and rare red kits flying overhead, along with marsh violets and bog asphodel on the banks of the river during summer.

Along most of the routes you will see some amazing views of welsh hills and countryside, alongside some stunning waterfalls. There is also a pleasant picnic area and also toilet facilities nearby making it equipped with everything you would need for an unforgettable enjoyable day.
