Reviews

We enjoyed a cosy, Christmas family holiday for six. The cottage was beautiful, clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. Lovely views and the hot tub was enjoyed by all.

Mr K,

Beautiful property, great location as is very quiet and out the way but only 5 minute drive to the village which has basic shops. Cleanliness was great and hot tub well maintained.

Miss K,

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed. The cottages are beautiful inside and out and the owners were very lovely and helpful. The surrounding areas were stunning and quiet it was lovely to hear the bird song. The dogs had a whale of a time and the kids and adults loved the hot tub.

Mrs R,

Lovely location, peaceful and lovely hosts, will be definitely going again

Mrs Christine F,

Map

Hafan Llewelyn holiday cottage is set on a scenic 60 acre farm, a short walking distance from the local pub and train station in Cilmery and 2 miles from Builth Wells. Very close to this cottage with hot tub, Wales' last native Prince of direct descent, Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, was slain in a skirmish by soldiers in the service of Edward I of England, on 11 December 1282. A memorial stone to Llywelyn ap Gruffudd was erected on the site in 1956 and serves as the focal point for the annual remembrance day.

The cottage is situated close to the Royal Welsh Showground, the Elan Valley Dams and an excellent 18 hole golf course. Many other activities are catered for locally including canoeing and fishing on the River Wye, mountain biking, horse riding and walking in the Brecon Beacons. There are also numerous good eating places in the vicinity serving local produce.
