Reviews

Had a great time, warm and friendly, clean and very comfortable would go again.

Mr L,

Loved the cottage and loved being on the farm. The owners are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Loved feeding the pigs and the donkeys everyday this made our holiday. Such a lovely cottage and the log fire was very cosy. Thank you for a lovely holiday in the lovely cottage

Miss H,

The cottage was lovely and comfortable and had everything you need. It was a real home from home. The area is lovely and we had some really good days out. The only issue for us was there were no walks from the cottage that we could take the dog on. Every style was broken or overgrown and the footpaths were blocked or inaccessible. We had to get in the car every morning and evening and drive 15 minutes to some woods we found just to walk the dog.

Ms T,

Map

Conveniently located in Mid Wales, Bwthyn Efyrnwy is one of two semi detached holiday cottages set on a working dairy, beef and sheep farm. This means that there are many activities that can be enjoyed on site, including watching the daily milking from the viewing balcony, playing pool, darts etc in the games room or visiting the Kunekune pet pigs. With two rivers flowing through the land, it is also the perfect setting for fishing holidays in Wales.

Meifod (2 miles) has a shop, post office, tennis court and the Kings Head pub which also serves good food. Some of the other recommended places to eat locally include Gwern y Ciliau (6 miles), Tan House Inn, Llangyniew (3 miles) and The Lion, Llansantffraid (7 miles).

Oswestry’s Park Hall Farm Attraction is just 16 miles away, whilst Welshpool’s Canal and Museum and ‘Coed y Dinas’ Shopping Centre & Café (9 miles) are all well worth a visit. Welshpool also has supermarkets, plenty of restaurants and Flash Leisure Centre (Leisure Swimming pool).
