"Fantastic stay" We booked to stay at Fferm Y Graig for the beginning of Novemeber, and had an amazing stay. The hot tub was ideal for an all girls party, along with the masive dinning table and a cosy kitchen. Went to the Cann Office in Llangadfan on the Saturday night- great welcome. Diolch yn fawr i Lloyd a'r teulu am y croeso cynnes.
We'll be back. |

"A great time had by all!" We Stayed at graig farm Cottages over the Half Term Period.
There were a group of 12 of us and we booked The Farmhouse and also 1 other Cottage.
We booked direct with the Owner, mr James, and all the Booking etc was handled perfectly, and very easily. We paid via Debit Card and all the transactions were handled, with no problem at all.
Whjen we arrived the fire was allready lit and we were made to feel most welcome by the James family.
The Farmhouse has everything you would need, and we could not fault it in any way.We had exclusive use of the Hot tub, and although it was February, we all piled in on the first evening, and it was great. You can not beat lieing in a Hot Tub with a bottle of bubbly. Getting out was a bit more daunting with a quick dash back to the Farmhouse to dry in front of a roaring Fire.
Our freinds stayed in Byer Cottage which was next door to the Farmhouse, and only 10 yards away. This too was very welcomimg, and again was Clean and well kitted out, we really could not fault this Cottage either.
We stayed for a Long weekend, and althiugh it was February, with a lot of places closed we found plenty to do, and we all really enjoyed our stay.
We paid £ 500.00 for our cottage for the 3 Nights and felt that this was great value for Money. We are looking forward to comimg back to graig Farm and have indeed book to come again in July. These Cottages really exceeded my expectaions and what more could we have asked for. |

This large farmhouse is set in a gorgeous countryside location, 2 miles above the little town of Llanfair Caereinion which has all the necessary amenities including shops, pubs, banks and even a steam train. The busy market town of Welshpool is also within 7 miles, offering many attractions including castles and a canal to take you back to a bygone era.
Take the short drive to the stunning lake Vyrnwy, where you can try your hand at watersports and cycling or enjoy a leisurely walk and good lunch. Golf and fishing are popular in this part of Wales, too, with plenty of golf courses and a coarse fishing lake.
If you’re after castles and culture, Mid Wales has both in spades. Nearby Dolforwyn Castle, for example, was the last castle to be built by Llewelwyn (the Last Prince of Wales), between 1273 and 1277. Powis Castle, which started life as a medieval fortress, is a must, especially for its beautiful gardens and collection of paintings, sculpture, furniture and tapestries.
Portmeirion and the Mountains of Snowdonia offer great days out whilst pony trekking and quad trekking are available locally. Other popular attractions include Llanrhaeadr Waterfall (the tallest in the UK), the Centre for Alternative Technology and King Arthur's Labyrinth.
Walking
Glyndwr's Way is a long distance footpath in Mid Wales that was granted National Trail status in the year 2000. Join the path in Welshpool (7 miles) / Meifod (8 miles).

Offa’s Dyke Path – National Trail (177 miles in total) following the Welsh/English border. Nearest section starts at Buttington Bridge, 11 miles away.
Fishing
River Banwy – Llanfair Caereinion. ½ a mile of fishing down stream from town bridge. 2 miles
Bluebell Park – Llanerfyl. 1 acre lake with platform fishing. 6 miles
Lake Vyrnwy – Wild brown, stocked brown and rainbow trout. 17 miles
