The perfect private spot. It couldn't have been better. Staff at the local pub are great, they even gave us a lift back.

Needed a base close to Mallwyd visit to our son. It was functional and good value. The dates were also flexible. Very pleasant location.
Recommendations: Cross Foxes is a good place to eat and accommodated us late. (5 for an evening meal on a Saturday), Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog, enjoy the stunning scenery - everywhere!

Fantastic fresh lobster & crab on the quay side. Market town of Machynlleth, enjoy a fresh coffee in street café after shopping. New area to us and I now love it. We went not wanting to have to travel far each day for things to do and see. Although it is twenty miles to the coast the roads are so good, scenic and quiet, it only took half an hour ish to get there so was enjoyable. As a base the cottage was lovely, very peaceful with views of mountains, gorgeous. It was really great, thanks.
Recommendations and tips: Osprey centre up till September (the birds migrate around then) is really good and only a fiver donation. Borth beach, very long, very quiet, very sandy, even out to sea, fab for bathing on a beautiful day. 11yr old and 15yr old boys loved it for cricket and bathing and boules. Talyllyn railways is a must, great value about £30 for family and we had a full day from it because the weather was good, beautiful scenery. We made great use of the local leisure centre, 10mins away for badminton, squash and swimming, they have a flume some days, very good. Court £4 for 40 mins. I took phone number with me and was always able to book last minute!

We celebrated a 10 year anniversary, in such a lovely place. We enjoyed eating out at Cross Foxes, near Dolgellau and walking on Mount Snowdon
