Very easy to find using the directions provided. We received a very warm welcome by the owner, the fresh scones and local goodies welcome pack was a nice touch and much appreciated! The bedrooms are of decent proportions. It suited our needs perfectly.
We dined at the Brigands Inn which is very good. We visited CAT, Portmeirion, King Arthur's Labyrinth and hiked up Cader Idris, all were on the doorstep and easy to reach.

Very friendly welcome, enjoyed large cottage and views, beautiful part of Wales, our first visit to mid Wales, fantastic. Bike ride to Barmouth really beautiful, so many good walks locally found from the info in cottage.
Douglas from Brighton, Sussex, Sep 2016

Wonderfully relaxed and made to feel very welcome.
Tips: Don't try and drive too much; appreciate that they are "country roads". We enjoyed Coed y Brenin (mountain biking), Aberdyfi and Barmouth (beaches) and driving the coastal roads.

Lovely property. Very welcoming owner. Welcome pack was so thoughtful as she had gone the extra mile to get gluten and dairy free cakes and bread, all locally sourced. Great area for anyone with food allergies. Beautiful location. It was a lovely, relaxing week. We'd love to stay at the same property again. We were all very happy there - and that's an age range from 18 to 56 which is quite an achievement :)

Tips and recommendationes: Order your GF and Dairy free bread and cakes from the Royal House - very reasonably priced. The Black Lion at Derwenlas does fabulous food (GF and dairy free and normal) which we all loved. Very nice old fashioned local cinema at Aberystwyth (ice cream intervals!) - lovely town for chips on the beach. Portmeirion worth it for the lovely walks in the architectural village with nice cafes.

The best of many self-catering holidays we have experienced.
Recommendations - Powis Castle & Gardens, Aberdovey and Dyfi estuary. Electric Mountain tour.
Excellent eats - Cross Foxes, Winstays in Machynlleth. Brigands, Penrhos Pub in the local village (Cemmaes), but give the chips a miss.
