Yr Hen Efail holiday cottage, Mid Wales is conveniently located in the village of Furnace, 6 miles south of Machynlleth: the ancient capital of Wales and 12 miles north of Aberystwyth. This large, quirky holiday cottage, Mid Wales offers a very central base to explore this magnificent part of Wales. Close by are the furnace falls, Ynys Hir Nature reserve (featured on BBC Spring watch programme), the Dyfi estuary and the scenic Artists Valley.
The thriving market town of Machynlleth has many historical landmarks and also hosts the oldest street market in Britain every Wednesday with many fresh produce and interesting stalls. The coastal town of Aberystwyth with its stunning beach and promenade is a very popular and lively university town. The famous Aberdyfi town with its picturesque, sandy beach is also within a half hour drive of Yr Hen Efail holiday cottage, Mid Wales, with coastal beautiful views along the way.
One of Ceredigion’s longest and most golden beaches ‘Borth’ is located only 6 miles away from the cottage and the beach stretches 2 miles over to Ynyslas where you will find the Dyfi National Nature reserve and the Dyfi Osprey Project. Mid Wales coast is also home to the dolphins and seals of Cardigan Bay that frolic freely in the blue surf and can be seen clearly during the summer months.

Yr Hen Efail (the old smithy) is a grade II listed building situated in the village of Furnace, 6 miles from Machynlleth, the ancient capital of Wales and 12 miles from Aberystwyth, a popular and lively university town on the Mid Wales coast. Close by are the furnace falls, Ynys Hir Nature reserve (featured on BBC Spring watch programme), the Dyfi estuary and beaches, and the scenic Artists Valley.
Kitchen (fully equipped) and breakfast room with traditional stone walls. Oak and aubergine kitchen units incorporating a halogen hub, double oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a unique pine table with chairs.
There is access from the kitchen to the front patio area. In the other direction is a utility hallway with American style fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and coat/shoe space.

It is furnished with a dining table and eight chairs, a large corner sofa and a separate leather three seater sofa and coffee table. 42” TV with DVD player a selection of DVD’S, a CD Player and IPOd docking station.

Yr Hen Efail holiday cottage, Mid Wales has two patio areas. The first is located at the front of the property in a three sided sunny courtyard.
The second patio area is located at the back of the property in a private, sunny position. Views over fields with Snowdonia mountains in the background.
Garden furniture/facilities include tables, chairs, sun loungers and a gas barbecue.
