Ground Floor
Open plan kitchen and living room with stairs leading to the main bedroom. Well lit room with slate floor, pine beamed ceiling, ingle-nook with a wood burning stove with back boiler. Pine fitted kitchen with built in cooker, washing machine, fridge freezer and microwave. Freeview TV plus DVD player. Three piece suit with two reclining chairs. Pine dining table with seating for four.
The room is heated by the wood burning stove and also electric. Very homely and relaxing.
Upstairs
Main bedroom - The stairs lead up to the open plan cottage styled main bedroom including ensuite shower. Double bed with bedside cabinets and lights. Carpeted stairs and bedroom. Ample storage and a beautiful view of the surrounding hills.
Second bedroom is accessed from the main bedroom, is carpeted and has oak beamed ceiling. One full size bunk bed with bedside cabinet and lamp. Also wardrobe and chest of drawers. View from the window overlooks the fields and mountains.
Garden
The patio at front of cottage consists of colourful flowers, table and four chairs (patio set) and is enclosed by a stone wall and gate. Safe for children and animals.
There is a small garden at the rear of the cottage consisting of a garden bench which is ideal to relax in the afternoon sun.

Situated on a working beef and sheep farm above the Dyfi Valley, this pet friendly cottage has superb views of Cader Idris, Aran Fawddwy and surrounding mountains. One mile to the village pub (walking distance), 2 miles to the nearest shop/post office, nearest garage is 5 miles and the well known market town of Machynlleth is just 7 miles away. Here you will find the old Welsh Parliament, dating back to 1404 and the oldest street market in Britain (every Wednesday).
The pet friendly cottage offers a great base for your holiday in Mid Wales and is also close to southern Snowdonia and Cardigan Bay. Venture up to the field above the cottage to admire views in all directions and enjoy the numerous walks nearby, including Glyndwr’s Way National Trail and the Snowdonia mountains. If you’re feeling energetic, the world renowned mountain biking centre in Coed y Brenin is also nearby.
There are plenty of highly recommended restaurants in the area and many beautiful, sandy beaches within half an hour, including Aberdyfi beach (18 miles), Ynys Las and Barmouth. Aberdyfi and Barmouth both have dog friendly beaches. Talyllyn narrow gauge railway offers a great day out, as does the Centre for Alternative Technology, a range of historical castles, Ynys Hir Nature Reserve and Corris Craft Centre, to name just a few.
Walking
Glyndwr's Way is a long distance footpath in Mid Wales that was granted National Trail status in the year 2000. Maps and guides can be obtained at the Tourist Information Centre in Machynlleth. 0.5 miles.
Dyfi Valley Way follows the River Dyfi from the estuary in Aberdyfi to the source at the summit of Aran Fawddwy and back down along the south side of the river via Machynlleth and down to Borth. Maps and guides can be obtained at the Tourist Information Centre in Machynlleth. Join path 1 mile from cottage.
The Mawddach Trail - Suitable for all ages – walkers, cyclists and wheelchair users. 16 miles
Precipice Walk – Dolgellau - suitable for all ages. 18 miles from cottage
Cadair Idris (Snowdonia mountain) – 3 main routes starting from Dolgellau (16 miles), Minffordd (16 miles) and Abergynolwyn (20 miles).

Dyfi Mountain Biking – Bike hire available at The Holy Trail shop in Machynlleth. All routes start from Machynlleth. 7 miles

Lake Vyrnwy – 12 mile circuit around the scenic Lake Vyrnwy. Suitable for the whole family. 23 miles

River Dyfi offers excellent fishing and is famous for its brown trout, salmon and sea trout. The river flows 0.5 miles away and licence can be purchased at the local post office, 2 miles.
