"Comfortable accommodation in a beautiful part of Wales"
We had a very warm welcome on arrival from Cheryl and she showed us round the cottage. There was a wonderful welcome pack including bara brith, tea bags, milk, wine, and strawberries and cream. The cottage was tastefully decorated and was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was a good size and was very well equipped. The only downside was that the dinner plates were too large to stand up in the dishwasher! We enjoyed having our meals in the conservatory however sometimes it was too hot when the sun was out (July)! The king-size bed was very comfortable and the large shower and bath were excellent. The bedrooms were very spacious with plenty of cupboard space and drawers.
We enjoyed the lovely quiet location and even did two walks from the door: a walk to the Horseshoe Falls then along the peaceful canal to Llangollen and up to the remains of Castell Dinas Bran - great views; and a walk to the local station, a steam train to Carrog, then walked back along the Dee Valley Way - about 10 miles, quite a lot of up and down. There are plenty of shops in the town for groceries and we had a nice meal at the Corn Mill one evening. |

"Gorgeous Cottage with Friendly Hostess!"
Once again we had a really lovely break at Hendy Isa. The hostess, Cheryl, is very friendly and is happy to help where-ever she can or if like us you like to be left to your own devices she'll take a step back and let you get on with it - just what we wanted. The cottage is gorgeous and decorated to a very high standard. The welcome gifts of local goods is an excellent touch. The cottage is only a few minutes from the picturesque town of Llangollen and is in a peaceful gorgoeus setting.
I usually take my uncle to the cottage, who has limited mobility and uses an electric wheelchair. We have had no complaints from Cheryl when we've had to take it into the cottage to charge the battery. We loved having breakfast in the conservatory whilst watching the wild baby rabbits in the garden.
The cottage has everything you need for a self catering holiday and the beds are very comfortable. The surrounding are is beautiful and there is a great organic butcher within 10min drive who breeds bison - a very nice change from beef although his beef steaks and fresh lamb is to die for! You can see the bison in the fields - a welcome change from sheep! We will definitely go back to Hendy Isa and would recommend it to everyone! |

"A beautiful house and stunning area"
The cottage is truly beautiful, modern and comfortable. The area was central to all areas of interest and of beauty and certainly served our needs. A week just wasn't enough. The only thing I wasn't entirely happy with is that the online description doesn't mention that the cottage is attached to the owners own home. |

Cheryl (the owner) is a lovely, friendly, warm individual and makes you feel extremely welcome. She also leaves little extras like real Welsh soap, bottle of wine, a lovely mini food basket and fresh fruit which is a lovely touch that you wouldn't get in a hotel!
The cottage is gorgeous and has been refurbished to a very high standard - the decor in the bedrooms is on par with a 5 star hotel! It is in a lovely quiet location, just what I was looking for, yet is not far away from Llangollen village and all it's amenities.
I won't hesitate to both recommend the cottage and book again myself whenever I visit North Wales.
