Aberdovey (correctly spelt Aberdyfi) is a small, picturesque resort - ideal for family holidays and perfect for relaxing. Enjoy a round of golf, boat trips and fishing trips from the harbour, or try your hand at watersports such as canoeing, sailing and windsurfing. This cosy holiday cottage, Aberdovey has a sunny front terrace and landscaped patio areas in the rear garden, all offering beautiful views of the Dyfi estuary and hills. *New addition to the website* Ground Floor This homely holiday cottage, Aberdovey has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with attractive curtains between living and dining areas which can be closed for cosy effect. Living room is tastefully furnished with comfortable seating for six. Ample side tables and throws are provided for the comfort of guests. LCD TV with Freeview & BT Vision and DVD player. Heated by new, energy efficient wall-mounted electric heater. Please note that the fireplace is purely decorative and is not operative. Dining room includes cottage-style dining table with matching chairs for six. Decorative display rack acts as divider between dining room and kitchen. Open plan kitchen very well-equipped with twin-oven Belling electric stove, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, good quality pans and cookware. Kitchen annexe includes automatic washing machine, ironing board, iron, drying rack, vacuum cleaner, cool box for picnics etc. Upstairs – First Floor Bedroom 1 - Light, spacious and tastefully furnished & decorated. This room is at the front of your Aberdovey self catering cottage and has a king sized bed and ample hanging and drawer space. Blackout roller blinds are fitted to the windows. Bedroom 2 - Light, spacious and attractively furnished & decorated. This room is at the back of the cottage and has a double bed (accessed from one side) and ample hanging space and drawers. A blackout roller blind is fitted to the window. Lovely modern bathroom with power shower over bath; heated towel rail and shaver socket. Heated by newly installed wall mounted electric heater. Sturdy support handle fitted to wall near shower. Second Floor Bedroom 3 - Delightful loft bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers all in matching pine. Large Velux skylight in roof with a safety bar fitted across the window. Please note that because this room is a loft conversion, the ceilings are sloping and low in places. Also, the stairs leading up to this room are steep and narrow. This room is therefore only suitable for adults and older teenagers. A security gate is fixed to the bottom of the stairs. Garden Pretty and sunny front terrace with tables and chairs and a wooden bench. Beautiful views of estuary and hills. Wonderful for sitting / eating outside this charming holiday cottage, Aberdovey at any time of the day. Small back yard paved in Welsh slate with potted plants and retractable washing line. Side access passage which belongs to neighbour who kindly allows guests to use to dry washing. This Aberdovey self catering also has a rear patio garden recently landscaped using beautiful Welsh slate. Patios on two levels with stunning views over the Dyfi estuary. Garden areas creatively designed and planted with aromatic flowering plants and medicinal herbs which have been carefully chosen to maximise pollination. Garden furniture (three tables and ample seating) along with sensor and solar lighting. Please note that access to the rear garden is via steep steps with sturdy handrails on both sides.
