The cottage is surrounded by the stunning, peaceful mountain scenery of Snowdonia and includes fishing rights on the River Dyfi.
Ground Floor
Ty Mawddwy brilliantly combines the charm of traditional features such as original rustic beams and a roaring wood-burning stove with all your modern essentials.
Fully fitted hand-made oak kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, fan assisted oven, washing machine and tumble dryer. It also includes a dining area with French doors leading to the patio and garden with glorious mountain views.
A very cosy open-plan living room features a large woodburner along with inviting sofas and chairs, sky TV (Family package) and an i-pod docking station.
Also on the ground floor are two uniquely appointed bedrooms - a twin and a double, along with a large family bathroom with a powerful shower over the bath.

Upstairs there is another luxury double bedroom with en-suite shower facilities and beautiful mountain scenery.
There is also a second sitting area with sky TV and DVD – an ideal spot for privacy and recreation.

Ty Mawddwy luxury holiday cottage, Snowdonia is situated in the Dyfi Valley, about two miles from the village of Dinas Mawddwy in the southern region of this beautiful National Park. Near the highest pass in Wales which leads to Vyrnwy and Bala lakes with their wide range of watersports. The interesting market towns of Dolgellau and Machynlleth are about 20 minutes by car, while the coast (30 mins) offers a wide choice of lovely beaches such as Barmouth and Aberdyfi.
Part of a sheep and beef organic farm which has been managed with conservation in mind, guests of Ty Mawddwy luxury holiday cottage, Snowdonia are welcome to explore the land and enjoy the wildlife. Guests are also welcome to take advantage of the three quarters of a mile of fishing rights on the River Dyfi.
The valley offers rural peace and tranquillity and is an ideal base for walkers of all capabilities, with the challenging peaks of Aran Fawddwy and Cader Idris on the door step.
In the village of Dinas Mawddwy is the Meirion Mill craft shop and cafe, a restaurant and a selection of good, traditional pubs. Within reach are many local popular attractions including the Centre for Alternative Technology, Narrow-gauge railways, RSPB reserves, Leisure Centres, Pony trekking, Quad biking and Coed-y-Brenin mountain biking centre.

Dyfi Valley Way follows the River Dyfi from the estuary in Aberdyfi to the source at the summit of Aran Fawddwy and back down along the south side of the river via Machynlleth and down to Borth. Maps and guides can be obtained at the Tourist Information Centre in Machynlleth. Join path 0.5 miles from cottage.

Fishing
River Dyfi offers excellent fishing and is famous for its brown trout, salmon and sea trout. Guests staying at Ty Mawddwy can take advantage of the owners’ ¾ mile fishing right on the river, opposite the cottage.
