Superb location with a wonderful view of Cadair Idris. Felt very welcome - owner was very, very nice. Would love to stay there again.
Tips: tTo expect AND accept rain ;-). But after rain there will be sunshine and that is often spectacular!

A glorious and enormous house set in a very peaceful location sitting below Cader Idris. Fixtures, fittings and furnishings all top quality. Margaret has provided everything you could need when away from home. The best property I've stayed at in all respects. A wonderfully warm, light and comfortable house to come back to after a day walking the hills and mountains. Thanks so much to Llion for recommending Berthlwyd when the property I had wanted to book wasn't available. It was absolutely perfect!
Recommednations: Climb Cader Idris / trip up to Snowdon / Barmouth / Precipice walk / the Blue Lake / Creggenan Lake / Dolgellau. If you're after outdoor gear then a visit to Cader Idris in Dolgellau is recommended - the owner is super helpful.

Beautifully modernised cottage with spacious rooms and a relaxed feel. Exceptionally well-equipped. Great views from every window. The owners were friendly and super helpful. Fantastic area for walking with Cadair Idris on the doorstep.
Recommends: Places to eat in Dolgellau, walk down the hill into town then order a taxi back.

It was a pleasure to stay in the cottage. Peaceful location, very well equipped and spotlessly clean.
Tips: Not to rely on the 'local' taxi service as they were not very reliable or very flexible. One firm only takes a booking if you use him both ways so if you want to walk one way it is unlikely you will get a taxi back! Don't forget to take a torch.
