Description

Enjoy a relaxing holiday at this Pembrokeshire beach cottage, just 500 yards from Amroth’s award winning beach which is popular for windsurfing, swimming and family beach games. The start of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path begins here and is ideal for ramblers wishing to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery on route. 

Ground Floor

This charming Pembrokeshire beach cottage has a large lounge/dining room and a kitchen with breakfast table and seating for up to six people. There is digital TV with cinema surround sound, DVD and CD player with built in I-Pod dock, WI-FI and Broadband. Appliances include washing machine/tumble drier, fridge and a small freezer in the top of fridge, microwave, electric cooker and hob, toaster and night store heating. Cosy log burner.

Upstairs

The cottage sleeps five and has two bedrooms with a double bed in one room, a single and bunk beds in the other, the bottom bunk is very low due to the ceiling eaves - (double room is entered via the single & bunk bedroom). There is a large bathroom with bath and over bath electric shower.

Garden

The lawn and shrubs take up half an acre and there are ten acres of woodland running all the way down to the seafront. The garden is mostly enclosed for a family and dog friendly holiday however there are gaps that a small dog could escape if left unattended.

There is an old pig sty converted into a storage shed for garden furniture (wooden table and four chairs included) bicycles can be securely stored here should you be contemplating a Pembrokeshire cycling holiday, also useful for windsurfers and wet suits etc.

Bed linen and towels are provided but soap and shampoo are not. You may also wish to bring a hair dryer.

Bwthyn Amroth is a comfortably furnished detached Pembrokeshire beach cottage, situated 500 yards from the stunning Blue Flag beach in Amroth, on the eastern side of the village. The 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path begins here and is ideal for ramblers wishing to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery on route. The holiday cottage is 3 miles from Saundersfoot and 8 miles from Tenby. This is typical, unspoilt Pembrokeshire at its best.

Amroth is a charming coastal village in southern Pembrokeshire. The New Inn and Amroth Arms are a short walk away from this dog friendly holiday cottage, also Colby Woodland Gardens, and on the western side there are further public houses, restaurant, shop and cafe. A short drive leads to the neighbouring village of Wisemans Bridge and the popular resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby.

Nearby Tenby is a delightful town steeped in ancient history surrounded by an imposing medieval stone wall. A recent ‘Which?’ report said "Tenby was one of the uk’s finest holiday resorts, with a medieval centre and three gorgeous Blue Flag beaches”. Through the passage of time Tenby has seen many changes but it has been on the leisure map for nearly 200 years. And with all that experience the people of Tenby certainly know how to offer each and every visitor an unforgettable time. Places nearby that you might want to consider visiting include Creswell Quay with the beautiful Cresselly Arms pub, Lawrenny, St Davids with its wonderful cathedral, Pembroke, Narbeth with many lovely shops and restaurants, Carew with the fantastic castle, along with many other places to visit and explore.

The area has an abundance of leisure attractions and pursuits to suit all members of the family during your stay at this Pembrokeshire beach cottage. This includes cycling, fishing, sailing, wind surfing, horse riding, bowling, quad biking at Ritec Valley Quad centre, white knuckle rides at Oakwood, Folly Farm and Heatherton Country Sports Park.

Beaches

The Blue Flagged Amroth beach is within easy walking distance of the cottage. With excellent water quality it is popular for swimming, windsurfing, fishing and all other beach activities. The eastern end of the beach also allows pets all year round, making it a perfect location for a dog friendly holiday. 500 yards
