Ideal for a romantic break for 2 and only 20 minutes from Cardiff. With the Brecon Beacons National park and the Glamorgan Heritage Coast all a short drive away this is a superb location to enjoy all the area has to offer.
Open plan kitchen lounge and dining room. Fully fitted kitchen with full size fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. The dining table can sit 4 and living area has a comfy L shaped sofa with TV, Freeview and DVD. Single sofa bed on request - suitable for children only.
Master Bedroom double bed with cupboard, wardrobes and velux ceiling window.
Master bathroom – stylish wet-room / bathroom with walk in shower wc and wash basin.
**Please note the maximum number of individuals that the cottage can accomodate is 2**
There is front terrace area with table and chairs and there are plenty of open spaces with the 50 acres to be enjoyed.
- Welcome pack on arrival includes a selection of local Welsh produce.
- Ground floor property with disabled access and walk in shower.
- Bed linen and towels provided.
- Electricity & central heating included.
- High chair, travel cot. Please bring your own bed linen for the cot.
- Wi-fi available.
- A selection of books , games and dvd’s are on hand.
- The following items are also provided at the cottage for your stay… Kitchen: salt and pepper, kitchen roll, washing up liquid/dishwasher tabs, new dishcloths and scourers, tin foil and cling film. Bathroom: liquid hand soap and 2 toilet rolls per toilet. General cleaning products: bleach, shower cleaner, anti bacterial spray etc.
- No smoking inside and no pets.
- Please note there is a security bond required of £100 (pre-auth on payment card during booking)
- Direct bus to Cardiff runs from only 1 mile away from the property. Local taxi and mini bus firm also available if required.
|Peaceful and the people of South Wales were all so welcoming. As we weren't there on holiday we didn't do much sight seeing but we would recommend Folly Farm for families!|

Just 7.5 miles away is Cardiff with all its attractions and activities including superb shopping and sporting venues. The Millennium Stadium hosts World class rugby games and will again host Rugby World Cup games in 2015. Sophia Gardens is now a Test match cricket venue and is hosting the first Ashes match of 2015. Cardiff Castle is worth a visit as is Cardiff Bay with its huge freshwater lagoon, International White Water Centre, The Millennium Centre, Olympic Swimming pool, Doctor Who Exhibition, Sailing centre and selection of restaurants and bars.
Brecon Beacons National Park is only half an hour away with mountains, lakes, waterfalls and of course breath-taking scenery. The area is well known for its natural beauty and is great for walking, fishing, cycling or just to relax and enjoy the magical surroundings.
The South Wales Valleys have a great heritage and the Rhondda Heritage Centre and Big Pit Museum are worth a visit. The Valleys have changed dramatically since the end of the heavy industry and are once again returning to their former glory with glorious mountains and scenery.
Glamorgan Heritage Coast has some great beaches to suit all from family friendly sandy beaches with many amenities such as Barry Island to quiet idyllic hideaways with dramatic cliffs and only accessible on foot. Southerndown and Ogmore are very popular with guests.
The Glamorgan Heritage Coastal Path offers stunning coastline and beaches. There are also many walks from the cottage in the nearby woods and across the countryside. 0.1 miles
Several lakes and course venues nearby including Canada Lakes Trout Fishery. 2 miles.
Fantastic Sea Fishing in the Bristol Channel via Charters boats from Cardiff Bay. 9 miles
There are many great Golf course nearby including the Celtic Manor (home of 2010 Ryder Cup), Vale Resort and also Cregiau Golf Course 1 mile.
Bike Park Wales offers some of the best Mountain biking in the UK and is only 15 miles away. Other “off-piste” mountain biking can be done in the woodlands around the cottage 0.2 miles.
Liege Manor Equestrian Centre is home to over 70 horses and ponies. With tuition for all ages and abilities. 14 miles
The Glamorgan Heritage Coast has numerous beaches, ranging from the bustling resort of Barry Island (16 miles), to the stunning beach at Southerndown (18 miles).
The Cardiff International White Water Centre (CIWW) offers canoeing, white water rafting, kayaking, hydro speed and hot-dogging. (All equipment can be provided). 11 miles.
