Bwthyn Y Wennol holiday cottage is located near Carmarthen, providing a peaceful get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Bwthyn Y Wennol has an enviable position to explore the Carmarthenshire (Garden of Wales) countryside and coastline, as well as Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Gower, all within an hour's drive.
Ground Floor
Bwthyn Y Wennol cottage has a front porch /conservatory leading to the front door and separate laundry room. The cottage itself has an open plan kitchen, dinning and living area with a French door leading out onto a small balcony, which in turn has steps down to a private decked area with garden furniture overlooking the beautiful Gwilli valley. The view here is truly stunning.
The kitchen is fully equipped and fitted with a electric oven, grill, hob, fridge freezer and microwave. The lounge has a Digital TV with Freeview a Radio/ CD player and a DVD player. There is also a library of DVD’s from which guests may borrow.
Bwthyn Y Wennol is tastefully furnished throughout - it has tiled floors and high beamed ceilings with a wood burning stove for those cosy winter evenings, for which logs are supplied free of charge.
The cottage has a shower room and two bedrooms one double bedded and one with a twin room.

Private decked area with garden furniture overlooking the beautiful Gwilli Valley. The view here is truly stunning.

All bedding, tea towels and towels are provided except beach towels.
The front porch and laundry/drying room of Bwthyn Y Wennol provides extra storage space as well as a separate room for those that wish to bring their dog.
Well behaved pets are welcome at an extra cost of £15 per week (payable to owner on arrival). Pets are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms so please bring your own dog beds with you. Pets will not be left unattended in the cottages however we do provide a kennel facility for those wishing to go out for the day.
Strict no smoking policy within the cottage.
There are stables on site.
Bwthyn Y Wennol holiday cottage is situated three miles north of Carmarthen town, in Bronwydd in the picturesque river valley of the Gwili. The cottage is situated on a fifteen acre farm and offers roaming pastureland, a small bluebell woodland and a green lane that takes you over the Welsh hills with views over the Gwilli Valley. The farm is a lovely place to relax walk or just take a picnic. The famous Gwili Railway runs from Bronwydd and the railway station there is currently the southern terminus of the Gwili Railway,

A stay here means you can take advantage of not only Carmarthenshire's countryside and coastline but also the Pembrokeshire’s, Ceredigion’s and Gower coast line and countryside, all within an hour’s drive. The close proximity to these three counties of Wales provides a huge range of interests and activities for all members of the family and makes for a fun filled holiday whatever the weather!
Carmarthen offers an interesting mix of shops and facilities from antiques and boutiques to interior and gift shops as well as art galleries and not to mention the livestock markets. Bwthyn Y Wennol holiday cottage is located on a farm where there are several pets including a donkey called Percy who has lived here for about fifteen years. In addition there are two Golden Guernsey Goats, some ducks, cats and the owners' beloved Labradors Paddy and Quinn and their new friend Scrappy. In the last year the farm has grown and now includes a collection of horses and ponies.
Beaches
Llansteffan beach is large with lovely soft sand and there are nice views across the estuary and River Towy to the village of Ferryside. 12 miles
Cefn Sidan is a lovely stretch of beach perfect for familes or water sports and activities. 18 miles
Water Sports
The Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Club offers white water rafting, canoes and kayaks. Spectacular scenery along the Teifi for the water sports enthusiasts. 13 miles
Walking
Whether you’re after a gentle stroll or a week-long hike it’s right on your doorstep, including the Tywi Trail and the Millennium Coastal Park Path. Local walks run along the Gwili Valley. 0.3 miles
