St Winefride’s Well, Holywell

Legend says that In the 7th Century Winefride was beheaded by Caradog. She was brought back to life by her uncle St Beuno. She then became a nun and lived 22 years more. The Well sprang up on the spot where she was beheaded. It is the only place that has remained a location for pilgrimage ever since. Visit the interactive exhibition to learn more.

St Melangell Church, Pennant Melangell Llangynog

There has been a Christian Church here for over 1200 years. Its setting, in a place of great beauty deep in the Berwyn Mountains, is peaceful and unspoilt. The church stands in a round churchyard, once a Bronze Age site, ringed by ancient yew trees estimated to be two thousand years old.

Segontium Roman fort & Museum, Caernarfon

Remains of an auxiliary Roman fort, probably established in the late 70s A.D. and modified through to the late fourth century. Adjacent to the Roman fort is Segontium Roman Museum, which is run by an independent trust, Segontium Cyf.
