Description

A romantic cottage in the Brecon Beacons National Park and on the lower slopes of the Sugar Loaf mountain.  There are several great restaurants and local pubs in the area and great country villages to explore. 

 

Ground floor

Open plan lounge kitchen and diner with fully equipped kitchen including  electric cooker and hob, microwave, washer/drier, fridge with freezer compartment and a dining table for up to 4. 

Double bedroom with storage and wall-mounted TV.

Local Area

This is a small detached cottage that shares a courtyard with one other holiday cottage. Both have their own private areas.  These cottages are on a working farm located with the Brecon Beacons Natioanal Park.

On the banks of the river Usk, Crickhowel is only 2 miles away and is a pretty town with several small shops and a few places to eat and drink.   Abergavenny is 4 miles away and is a larger market town with great local suppliers and also a supermarket.

This is an outdoor paradise with great waling, cycling, fishing, bird-watching all nearby. Big Pit museum is worth is a Visit and a great all weather attraction. The river Usk runs at the bottom of the valley and is a famous salmon river.  Fishing can be arranged on the Usk and its tributaries via day permits. 

Water sports

Many water sports available at Llangorse Lake   12 miles.


Walks

Walk from the cottage but there are also many others trails and walks nearby. 0.1 miles.

Fishing

Local rivers include superb wild brown trout, salmon and sea trout (sewin) fishing. 0.2 miles

Golf

Monmouthshire Golf Club, a great course in gorgeous surroundings.  5 miles

Cycling

NCN Route 42 runs nearby but there are many quiet country roads perfect for cycling. 0.5 miles.

Pony Trekking

Grange Pony trekking Centre offer riding in the Brecon Beacons. 17 miles.
