Recommends: Excellent Indian takeaway that delivered to property.Family from Cardiff - 26th June 2017
Quiet, relaxing, hot tub was fantastic, welcome pack was a lovely touch & the owners were very friendly, helpful & nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be going back. Food at the local pub was very good. Our stay was not long enough to see everything. Jane & Richard were more than helpful with information on places to go, which we will do next time.Family from Northamptonshire - 6th October 2016
The property was amazing, myself and five friends had the best weekend ever, It was like a home from home. We stayed at the property and chilled out in the hot tub. The owners and Best of Wales provided us with everything we needed.Friends from Caerffili - 19th September 2016
3 night break in an area of Wales we did not know, allowing us to visit friends and to bring our dog with us. Seriously we had everything we needed. Our hosts were very friendly and the accommodation offered all it advertised, even a hot tub.
Tips - Drive over the Epynt as the view is fantastic.Couple from Warwickshire - 16th June 2016
I loved it there so much I can honestly say it's the loveliest place I've been in this country. So relaxing, beautiful surroundings. Very friendly down to earth people who owned the cottage. Will definitely be going back. You don't need to go anywhere, the place itself has amazing views.Helen from Cardiff - 16th June 2016

Hafan Llewelyn holiday cottage is set on a scenic 60 acre farm, a short walking distance from the local pub and train station in Cilmery and 2 miles from Builth Wells. Very close to this cottage with hot tub, Wales' last native Prince of direct descent, Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, was slain in a skirmish by soldiers in the service of Edward I of England, on 11 December 1282. A memorial stone to Llywelyn ap Gruffudd was erected on the site in 1956 and serves as the focal point for the annual remembrance day.
The cottage is situated close to the Royal Welsh Showground, the Elan Valley Dams and an excellent 18 hole golf course. Many other activities are catered for locally including canoeing and fishing on the River Wye, mountain biking, horse riding and walking in the Brecon Beacons. There are also numerous good eating places in the vicinity serving local produce.
Builth Wells Golf Club presents a fair challenge to golfers of all levels. It is attractively laid out in splendid surroundings and is a comfortable walk. 2 miles
There are many interesting bridal paths in the vicinity. There will also be stables on site in the near future, enabling guests to bring their own horses.
