Bwthyn y Muallt has a private hot tub, which is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views across the valley. Located just outside Builth Wells in the Irfon Valley, this pet-friendly (2 dogs) is great for walkers, cyclists and those who like to get away from it all in beautiful countryside. With underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and a large wood burner in the lounge this cottage is the ideal base to explore all that Mid Wales has to offer. Builth Wells, home of course to the Royal Welsh show is just over a mile away with great local pubs, restaurants and independent shops.

Dining room with table and chairs to sit 6, sofa, armchair, TV, DVD and a large selection of DVD's to be enjoyed.

Local Area

This Builth Wells accommodation is a detached cottage just over a mile outside ofthe market town of Builth Wells. The high streetincludes several boutique shops and plenty of places to eat and drink. There are some freat local pubs and plenty places to eat nearby including several in Builth itself and also the Prince Llewelyn in Cilmery. The Royal Welsh Agricultural Show takes places each summer and attracts a huge number of people from all over the world. The Showground also holds the Spring Festival and Winter Fair and numerous other shows and events throughout the year. The showground is only a short walk (about 10-15mins) from the bungalow. The River Wye flows through the town and is a famous salmon river that also has many walks along its banks.

The whole area is well known for its outstanding natural beauty and you will see fantastic mountain ranges lakes and valleys. The Brecon Beacons National Park and the towns such as Brecon (19 miles) Llanwrtyd the spa town of Llandrindod Wells and Hay on Wye (21 miles) are well worth a visit. There are also several all weather attractions including the Quackers Play Centre in Newbridge on Wye Builth Leisure Centre and the local cinema The Wyeside Arts Centre shows all the latest releases.

Walking

This area is a paradise for walkers with routes such as the Wye Valley Walk (1 miles) Epynt Way (3 miles),Brecon Beacons National Park (13 miles south) and the Elan Valley (17 miles north).

Cycling

Great for road cycling with country roads and some serious climbs available. NCN 43 passes near the cottage. 0.1 miles.

Water Sports

The River Wye (1 miles) is popular as a navigable river with canoeists. Llangorse Lake Pontsticill Reservoir (Merthyr Tydfil Sailing Club) The River Usk and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal also offer opportunities for water sport.

Fishing

River Irfon flows through the valley and is overlooked by the cottage. Permits and day tickets can be bought locally. 0.3 miles
