Llety Hiriaeth offers spacious, cosy accommodation for self catering in Mid Wales and is set on a working organic farm near Machynlleth. With its own beautiful gardens and babbling brook it is tastefully furnished in keeping with the traditional Welsh farmhouse. Peaceful and secluded, it offers a place for total relaxation – yet is conveniently near to the sea at Aberdyfi, the glorious mountains of Snowdonia and many local activities. The perfect farmhouse holiday.
The main door of the farmhouse leads in to a large, welcoming hall. From the hall you can enter two lounges, the kitchen, the pantry and access upstairs. At the end of the hall there is the front door which leads into a small conservatory.
The farmhouse has 3 large and comfortable lounges, one with a wood-burner in the inglenook with its original bread-oven. The first and second lounges also have freeview TV and DVD players. The third lounge serves as a reading lounge where you can read or relax in total peace.
The Welsh traditional oak farmhouse kitchen with its dining area is located in the old part of the house and is accessed from the main hall down a step. It is well equipped with the usual array of crockery and kitchen utensils. There is an electric cooker, microwave and - as you would expect from a traditional farmhouse holiday - a lovely oil-fired Aga.
The kitchen leads into the carpeted lounge with its inglenook and woodburner. The pantry with its slate floor is located on the main level of the house and has a fridge and freezer. The utility with its washing machine and tumble dryer is located up some steps from the kitchen.

Beautiful large farmhouse that gives you plenty of space to spread out and allow teenagers their own space (!!) Good location. Would definitely stay again. Powis Castle was amazing. Lake Vyrnwy is a must - walk around the sculpture park and then over the dam, it was stunning. We also enjoyed a visit to Barmouth but really just sitting in front of the Woodburning stove and relaxing.Rita from Chester - 24th February 2016
