Lovely cottage! Lovely surroundings! Great holiday!
Visit Snowdonia, stunning scenery.Family from Surrey - 15th August 2017
This was our 3rd visit and have loved it every time. So many things to do and enjoy, you can have peace and tranquility, keep yourself to yourself or walk surrounding area...fish in the fishing ponds, or get in the car etc and go exploring where ever you want. Lake Vyrnwy a gorgeous place but so many other places also within reach...we could have stayed a lot longer..hopefully we will return yet again and recommend it to others also....Marion from Sidmouth - 11th June 2017
It was very tranquil, in beautiful surroundings. Exactly what we were looking for.
Recommends: Llanrhaeadr waterfall, well worth the drive and climb to the top.Angela from Liverpool - 1st May 2017
Top notch! Fantastic - really peaceful and relaxing - just what we needed. Enjoyed Welshpool and the narrow gauge railway - Lake Vrynwy and a trip to the coast at Aberdovey. Best place to eat with a dog in town - the Green Dragon in Buttington - so good we went twice!Pete from Liverpool - 19th April 2017
Fantastic property, home from home had everything we needed and lovely and peaceful.
For shopping and eating out the best and nearest places are Welshpool & Oswestry.Family from Suffolk - 8th April 2017

This Mid Wales holiday cottage is located on a small and select, family run caravan park and is surrounded by farmland. The park itself is enclosed by mature trees and looks out at the towering Moel Bentyrch and its nestling valleys. Facilities on site include a laundrette, telephone, fishing lake and games room. Swings, darts, pool and table tennis can all be played here as part of your family holidays in Wales.
There are two popular walks near by - the Ann Griffiths Walk and Glyndwr's Way (National Trail). Llanfair Caereinion (5 miles) has all the necessary amenities including shops, pubs, tea room, butchers and even a steam train. The busy market town of Welshpool (10 miles) offers many attractions including castles and a canal to take you back to a bygone era. In Welshpool, there are many places to eat including The Baytree which is a must if you like delicious cakes and treats and here you will find the larger supermarkets.
Take the short drive to the stunning lake Vyrnwy, where you can try your hand at watersports and cycling or enjoy a leisurely walk and good lunch. Golf and fishing are popular in this part of Wales, too, with plenty of golf courses and a coarse fishing lake.
If you’re after castles and culture, Mid Wales has both in spades. Nearby Dolforwyn Castle, for example, was the last castle to be built by Llewellyn (the Last Prince of Wales), between 1273 and 1277. Powis Castle, which started life as a medieval fortress, is a must, especially for its beautiful gardens and collection of paintings, sculpture, furniture and tapestries.
Portmeirion and the Mountains of Snowdonia offer great days out whilst pony trekking and quad trekking are available locally. Other popular attractions include Llanrhaeadr Waterfall (the tallest in the UK), the Centre for Alternative Technology and King Arthur's Labyrinth.
Ann Griffiths Walk - 7-mile route following the river Vrynwy. Full of contrasting Powys landscapes, including views of the Berwyn mountains. 0.5 miles from cottage.
Glyndwr's Way is a long distance footpath in Mid Wales that was granted National Trail status in the year 2000. Join 0.5 miles from cottage.
Severn Way – Gentle 12 mile route along the Montgomery Canal towpath from Welshpool (11 miles) to Newtown.
Offa’s Dyke Path – National Trail (177 miles in total) following the Welsh/English border. Nearest section starts at Buttington Bridge, 13 miles away.
Fishing lake on site stocked with carp, roach, rudd and tench.
River Banwy – Llanfair Caereinion. ½ a mile of fishing downstream from town bridge. 6 miles
