With a welcoming woodburner, countryside views, direct access to Offa's Dyke National Trail and the renowned Mountain Biking Centre at Llandegla Forest just 3 miles away, this is an excellent base for your next holiday in Wales. Village pub/restaurant, two shops and cafe within 2 miles and exclusive access to hidden caves on the owners' land.

The cottage is also central to the popular destinations such as Ruthin market town, Llangollen with its canal and steam train, Snowdonia National Park, the North Wales coast and the walled Roman city of Chester. An excellent base to explore North Wales and beyond.

Ground Floor

Living room - Lovely room featuring a log burner and TV, surrounded by inviting sofas and chair.

Kitchen - well equipped kitchen with a fridge freezer, cooker and grill, microwave and dishwasher, washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Dining area - adjoining the kitchen, this area houses a large dining table and chairs with views (and direct access) out to the front garden.

Ground floor shower room - Includes a shower, WC and wash basin.

Bedroom 1 - Spacious room with a king sized bed and wall mounted TV. Bedside tables with lamps, a chest of drawers and chair with countryside views.

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the foothills of the Clwydian Range, the cottage benefits from a large enclosed garden and access to Offa's Dyke Trail just down the road. As guests of the cottage, you will also have exclusive access to caves on the owners' farm land and just 2 miles away, you will find Tomen y Rhodwydd, the best preserved mottee and bailey in Britain.

The village of Llandegla (1.5 miles) has 2 shops, a cafe and The Crown pub/restaurant. The cottage is also within 3 miles of Llandegla Forest, home to One Planet Adventure with excellent mountain biking facilities and a visitor centre, whilst Llandegla Laser Combat (4.4 miles) is another fun day out on the doorstep. In addition to the village pub/restaurant and cafe, some of the other recommended places to eat nearby includes The Raven in Llanarmon-yn-Ial (3 miles) and The Three Pigeons (4 miles) and On the Hill Restaurant in Ruthin (8 miles).

The market town of Ruthin (spelt Rhuthun in Welsh) is a lovely Welsh town with plenty of interesting shops, cafes, restaurants and a Tesco supermarket. Your cottage is also central to the beautiful canal town of Llangollen (8.5 miles), Wrexham (12 miles), the historical city of Chester (23 miles), Snowdonia National Park (22 miles) and the wonderful Welsh coast (27 miles). With a wide range of attractions and many historic Welsh market towns dotted around you this really is a great base to explore North Wales and beyond.

Offa's Dyke National Trail - 0.25 mile away

Clwydian Range (Welsh: Bryniau Clwyd) Trails - Llandegla is also the southern gateway to the Clwydian Range, a series of hills and mountains that runs all the way to Prestatyn on the North Wales coast. Look out for Iron Age hill forts such as Penycloddau and Moel Arthur along these walks as well.
