Good location within walking distance of Newport with good enclosed garden and lovely views. Chocolates for the children, treats for the dog and welcome package were a very nice touch. Provision of washing up liquid, dishwashing tablets and other similar kitchen essentials was very helpful. The children enjoyed Castell Henlys and Poppit Sands in particular. Newport itself is lovely, as is St Davids and Solva. Heatherton is also a good day out for the family and being dog-friendly was a great bonus.Tracey from Wiltshire - 30th April 2017
Fabulous views, very comfortable house, great gardens and comfy beds. Pizzeria in Newport is fabKate from Warwickshire - 13th April 2016
Spacious, clean, warm, comfortable, great views, secure and private.
Book your table for dinner - Food is expensive but really tasty at The Castle Inn and the Golden Lion. Do your research on what to do before you go and familiarise yourself with the local pubs etc. Don't be afraid to take your pets; it is a very friendly community and pet friendly too; including the pubs. It was all perfect!!Debbie from Porthcawl - 5th June 2015
Wonderful location and did not want for anything in bungalow. The views are fantastic and even weather was kind to us.Christine from Oxford - 30th September 2014

The Welsh name for Newport is Trefdraeth and can be translated to 'town by the beach'. Newport is a delightful little town with a mixture of shops, numerous art galleries, craft shops, cafes and pubs and of course its famous beach. The area is great for walking, cycling, fishing, bird-watching and many watersports. Located on the North Pembrokeshire Coast the 3 larger towns of Fishguard, Cardigan and Haverfordwest are all within a 30 minute drive. Within Newport there are some great places to eat and drink and the Golden Lion (it's worth booking your table in advance), Cnapan Restaurant and Lys Meddsyg Restaurant can all be recommended.
The ancient Preseli Mountains lie inland and include Carningli from where you can enjoy superb views across the Bay. The Beautiful Gwaun Valley is also worth a visit - this steep-sided narrow Valley was carved by glaciers in the last ice age.
For walkers the ‘Poppit Rocket’ shuttle bus runs along the coast and offers drop off and pick up points along the All Wales Coastal Path. This section of coast is well known for its many dolphins and porpoises, with dolphin watching trips available from New Quay Harbour. Pembrokeshire also has a wealth of family attractions including Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, the Blue Lagoon Water Park, Anna's Wild Zoo and a Dinosaur Centre.
