The Brecon Beacons National Park is on your doorstep as are the delights of Monmouthshire and the Borderlands with their quaint villages, market towns and magnificant Castles. The apartment is an ideal base for you stay in the area.

Local Area

This apartment is part of a former police station near the centre of Abergavenny. All the shops, cafes and places to eat and drink are within a short walking distance. Abergavenny is a medieval market town and has something for everyone with its many indoor and outdoor markets,  castle and museums this medieval market town is sure to delight any visitor. Offering fantastic walks for all abilities as well as its own vineyard, the nearby mountain of Sugarloaf is well worth visiting. The Monmouthshire and BreconCanal runs nearby and is considered by many to be Britain's most picturesque canal, and, for much of its length, lies within the Brecon Beacons National Park's boundaries. 

Llangorse Lake in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park and Black Mountains offers many opportunities for those interested in outdoor activities. Llangorse Lake is the largest natural lake in South Wales and is renowned for its Pike Fishing. There are numerous fishing opportunities in the area including in the canal and one of the best Salmon river in the UK - The Usk

Water sports

Llangorse Lake offer a wide range of watersports including Canoing, sailing dinghies, rowing boats, pedaloes and water- skiing. Hired from the lakeside, 13 miles.


Walks

Spectacular walks can be found in the Beacons National Park with the peaks of Pen y Fan, Cornddu and Criban, as well as the 90 kilometre Epynt Way which is a circular walk. Other town and riverside walks can be found on the doorstep.

Fishing

Permits and day tickets are available for the superb wild brown trout, salmon and sea trout (sewin) fishing on the river Usk. 0.2 miles

Course fishing - Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. 1 mile.


Golf

Monmouthshire Golf Club. Suitable for all ages and levels of golfer. The course is set against the beautiful scenery of the Usk valley 1 mile

Cycling

Local trails and country routes including (NCN Route 42) from Abergavenny to Chepstow. 3.0miles
