This 5 star luxury Cardiff cottage is set in a countryside location, yet is only 20 minutes from Cardiff. Surrounded by woodland and rolling hills and with a superb local pub and restaurant nearby, it is an ideal location to just sit back and relax or to stay for one of the many sporting and cultural events in Cardiff and South Wales.

Open plan kitchen and dining room. Fully equipped kitchen including range cooker, American style fridge freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher. Dining room includes a table with seating for 8 and a large comfy sofa, TV and state of the art sound system.

Lounge with 40” TV, freeview and DVD player, and comfy sofas.

Stylish master bathroom with WC, sink and bath.

Bedroom 1 with double bed, cupboard, chest of drawers and en-suite walk in shower room.

A large selection of books, games and dvd’s are on hand.

Bathroom: liquid hand soap and 2 toilet rolls per toilet. General cleaning products: bleach, shower cleaner, anti bacterial spray etc.

No smoking and no pets.

This property has a £200 good housekeeping refundable bond, which is payable to Best of Wales along with the balance of your holiday. Alternatively, you can waiver this bond by paying a non-refundable fee of £5 per person instead.

No stag, hen or same sex groups.

Direct bus to Cardiff runs from only 1 mile away from the property. Local taxi and mini bus firm also available if required.

Local Area

This detached luxury Cardiff cottage is set on a small holding with one other small holiday cottage (Llety Tyn y Coed) within 50 acres of woodland and countryside, and only a very short walk to popular local restaurant, pub and organic farm shop selling fresh fish and meat as well as freshly baked bread, Welsh cheese, jams and chutneys. In the shop, you'll also find ready meals prepared by the local restaurant for those times when you don't want to cook.. To the South the village of Creigiau is only 1 mile away and that includes a golf course, local shop and another pub. 1 mile to the North is another village, Efail Isaf. This also has a good local pub.

Cardiff is just 7.5 miles away and has many attractions and activities, not to mention the world class shopping and entertainment, the Millennium Stadium hosts world class rugby games and again hosted Rugby World Cup games in 2015. Cardiff is only a short drive away but there is also a bus service that runs directly into the City Centre from just under 1 mile away. Sophia Gardens is now a test match cricket venue and hosted the first Ashes match of 2015. Cardiff Castle is well worth a visit, as is Cardiff Bay with its huge freshwater lagoon, International White Water Centre, The Millennium Centre, Olympic Swimming pool, Doctor Who Exhibition, Sailing centre and selection of restaurants and bars.

The Brecon Beacons National Park is only half an hour away with mountains, lakes, waterfalls and of course breath-taking scenery. The area is well known for its natural beauty and is great for walking, fishing, cycling or just to relax and enjoy the magical surroundings.

The Glamorgan Heritage Coast has some great beaches to suit all, from family friendly sandy beaches with many amenities such as Barry Island to quiet idyllic hideaways with dramatic cliffs and only accessible on foot. Southerndown and Ogmore are very popular with guests.

Walking

The Glamorgan Heritage Coastal Path offers stunning coastline and beaches. There are also many walks from the cottage in the nearby woods and across the countryside. 0.1 miles

Fishing

Several lakes and course venues nearby including Canada Lakes Trout Fishery. 2 miles.
