Perfect for a family get together or for a group of friends Bryn Olwg is a spacious Aberystwyth accommodation. 2 storey house set in a rural location just outside the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Ideal group accommodation Aberystwyth with its beaches, promenade and marina. It is located on a small private complex, large grounds and a playground.

Ideally located to make the most of all the activities in the area including great beaches, marina, walking, cycling, swimming and bird watching.

Ground Floor

Open plan lounge and kitchen with bi-folding doors stretching the width of the house and opening out on to an outdoor seating area. Lounge also includes an electric chair.

The fully fitted kitchen includes an American style fridge freezer and also a seating area.

There is a separate dining room with seating for 8.

Downstairs bathroom is a full wet room with shower and wc. Disabled friendly it has a raised toilet, lowered wash basin and there is also an alarm cord.

Downstairs bedroom includes twin beds - one of these beds is a single electric bed.

Upstairs

Spacious master bedroom includes a king sized bed, with bi-folding doors opening out on to the balcony with views over the complex and across the Cambrian Range. The en-suite includes a shower and wc.

Garden

Private garden area to the front of the property that is fenced off and includes a garden bench.
There are large shared grounds on the complex, playground, and plenty of open spaces. There is also a shared BBQ.

* The hot tub is located between Bryn Olwg and Llety Cambrian and is shared between these two properties.

This property has a £150 good housekeeping refundable bond, which is payable to Best of Wales along with the balance of your holiday. Alternatively, you can waiver this bond by paying a non-refundable fee of £5 per person instead.

The following items are also provided at the cottage for your stay. Kitchen: salt and pepper, kitchen roll, washing up liquid/dishwasher tabs, new dishcloths and scourers, tin foil and cling film. Bathroom: liquid hand soap and 2 toilet rolls per toilet. General cleaning products: bleach, shower cleaner, antibacterial spray etc.

Can accommodate groups of 15 or 17 by also booking Llety Cambrian (sleeps 7) and Y Lloft Gwair (sleeps 2)

  • The parking is on a flat tarmac and paved surface with easy access into the property
  • The property is on two levels but kitchen, living area, bed and bathroom are on the Ground Floor
  • All doors and corridors are 750mm wide
  • All door handles and light switches are at a lower level
  • Space under the dining table for a wheelchair
  • There is a 1.2m turning circle for a wheelchair in the bedroom and the bed can be accessed from both sides
  • Disabled friendly equipment can be provided by arrangement
  • There is a 360 degree/ 1200 mm turning circle for a wheelchair in the wetroom
  • The WC is upraised, there are grabrails in the wetroom and levered taps

Local Area

Ideal group accommodation Aberystwyth, Bryn Olwg is a semi-detached luxury house that adjoins Llety Cambrian and is located on an old dairy farm and amongst a small collection of holiday properties on a complex that includes a hot tub, some apartments and caravans. Aberystwyth itself with its seafront, shops, restaurants and bars is 1.5 miles away.

With its great beaches, pier and promenade, Aberystwyth is an idyllic Victorian town. Constitution Hill is at one end of the beach and the view across Aberystwyth is well worth the walk to the top. Other towns nearby include Aberaeron that is 17 miles to the South and Aberdovey, 29 miles to the North.

The area has one of the premier mounting bike centres in the UK at Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre and there are plenty of beaches and other famous attractions and landmarks in every direction. Ynyslas R.S.P.B Nature reserve and dunes are a huge expanse and definitely worth a visit.

Walking

There are many walks to be enjoyed in the mountains and along the coast including the All Wales Coastal path. 0.4 Miles

Cycling

Some of the best mountain biking in the UK can be found nearby at Nant yr Arian Mountain Biking Centre. It features the Continental Tyres Syfydrin Trail, one of the most scenic wilderness trails in the UK. 12 miles.

Fishing

There is excellent wild trout fishing in many local rivers and within the mountain lakes. Day tickets can be obtained from local fishing clubs.

There is excellent sea fishing all along the coast with a mixture of beach and rocky fishing marks. Charter boats can also be booked from Aberystwyth Marina. 1.5 miles

Bird watching

Nant yr Arian includes a Red kite feeding Centre while Ynyslas the R.S.P.B Nature reserve on the South side of the Dyfi estuary is worth a visit. 5 miles.

Beaches

Some good beaches to choose form including Clarach, Borth and Aberystwyth are all nearby. 1.5 miles
