Reviews

Great Holiday accommodation Well stocked with everything you need Clean / comfy beds / lovely hot tub Would love to return

Mrs J,

We loved this well equipped property located in a quiet cul-de-sac with walks for the dogs on the doorstep. Lovely views to be admired from the hot tub or the snug area upstairs. Shower for the dogs a bonus too! Only a 10 minute drive from the lovely town of Aberystwyth which has everything you need.

Ms S,

The property overall was beautiful and the location perfect, quiet and no passing traffic. The garden was a sun trap and we were lucky to have the hottest weather this year. Unfortunately there was no shade for the garden, and the seats were not very comfortable to sit out. We had taken a big beach umbrella with us so used this in the garden. The hot tub is a great extra to have use of, however, as the temperature could not be regulated it was far too hot to use in the day due to the weather being so hot aswell! Could have done with being cooler to cool us down. The kitchen, diner and bedrooms were perfect. The lounge was a bit awkward with the layout and tv on the wall, the sofas were not comfortable and always looked a mess with the loose back cushions. There was no fan so to keep the room cool we had to close the curtains. The games room was another great addition. We would most certainly consider revisiting! Thank you.

Mrs Suzanne S,

Beautiful property in a very quiet location. The property had everything we needed for our holiday and was comfortable and clean. The Owners and caretaker were very helpful and friendly. Fabulous walk from the property to Aberystwyth with lots of places near by to visit.

Mrs M,

Very comfortable property, good sized bedrooms, good bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and the games room and hot tub are real bonuses. I’d definitely book this again for a group or family trip.

Miss W,

Lovely house, nice local walks. House was clean and well equipped. KIds and grandad enjoyed the games room and we all loved the hot tub. Devils Bridge waterfalls is a must and we all enjoyed a meal at Med Delight

Past Customer,

Both myself and the group would like to thank you for letting us stay in your lovely property. We had a fantastic time and couldn’t speak more highly of it. We were all heart broken to leave which I think is the highest compliment we can pay and speaks volumes as to the quality of the property, location and service we received.

Joshua G,

Great place to stay, can’t wait to rebook.

Mrs D,

Map

Ideal group accommodation near Aberystwyth, Corlan Aber is a detached large property in a tranquil setting in the village of Llanfarian, with an enclosed garden and private hot tub. Just a 1/4 of a mile off the main coast road between Aberystwyth and Aberaeron, this is a highly convenient and central base for your holiday on the Cardigan Bay coast.

Aberystwyth with its bigger shops and amenities is within 3 miles. For eating out, Aberystwyth has plenty of recommended options including Ultracomida and Baravin, SY23 with it's Michelin star, Byrgyr and Gwesty Cymru. For Sunday lunch, Marine is highly recommended whilst Tynllidiart Arms and Maes Bangor in Capel Bangor (6 miles) and Y Ffarmers in Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn (7 miles) and Halfway Inn in Pisgah (7.4) are also well worth the journey. Plenty of good pubs, including the Glengower (dog friendly) and Ship & Castle for local ales.

The Ystwyth Trail (which follows the old railway line between Aberystwyth and Tregaron) can also be joined from the doorstep and leads directly to Aberystwyth. This part of the trail is suitable for all ages and perfect for cycling or walking. From Aberystwyth, you can also join the All Wales Coast Path towards the north or south. The Cliff Railway offers amazing views over Aberystwyth and Cardigan Bay, whilst the town is also home to Aberystwyth University, the National Library of Wales, the largest Art Centre in Wales, the ruins of Aberystwyth Castle, a traditional cinema and two beaches.

Ynyslas’ RSPB Nature Reserve is also very popular whilst a steam train ride along the Vale of Rheidol Railway from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge offers a great day out (seasonal timetable). This area is steeped in myths and legends and when you arrive in Devil’s Bridge (Pont-ar-fynach in Welsh), follow the riverside walk to see the three bridges built on top of each other and a magnificent waterfall. Treat yourself to a meal at Hafod Arms before catching the train back to Aberystwyth.

For groups, Colossal Activities can provide anything from golf to mountain bike hire to fishing, children’s parties and kayak hire. You can also enjoy excursions into the Cambrian Mountains for views, local history and wildlife with Cambrian Safaris.
