Local Area

This top floor penthouse New Quay apartment is one of 4 apartments within a Grade 2 listed former boat yard. Located above Dolau beach right on the seafront. The building has a fascinating history. It was once used to make and repair sails and the workshops were commandeered during the war to produce parts for aero planes. The building is right on the front and directly over Dolau beach. The harbour, restaurants, cafes and small shops are all nearby.  

New Quay is a small seaside town with plenty of attractions and amenities. Dolphin trips can be booked from the harbour and on a clear day you can even sea the dolphins from the shore. Excellent food can be had at the Pepper Pot, Blue Bell and the Wellington whilst the Lime Crab also comes highly recommended for fish and chips.  New Quay has 2 sandy beaches , Dolau and Harbour,  with a 3rd Cei Bach only a short walk away. The All Wales coastal path passes nearby and there are many great coastal and inland walks to be enjoyed. Along the coast there are many beaches including Llangrannog, Tresaith and Aberporth. 

Aberaeron is 7.5 miles to the north with it's Georgian architecture and harbour. Further along the coast the University town of  Aberystwyth 23 miles away. Home to the National Library of Wales, University, Pier, beaches and has a great cosmopolitan feel about it. Cardigan is 19 miles to the south and with it's restored Castle is worth a visit.  Other family attractions include the Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, Dyfed Shire Horse Farm and there are many historic castles including Aberystwyth and Cilgerran.
