Reviews

Lovely comfortable well equipped house in a nice location. Stairs to upper floor might be a small negative for someone holidaying with an elderly person or small child as they are steep.

Mrs M,

All seven of us enjoyed our holiday at this lovely house, The location is perfect and very peaceful, and we all loved sitting on the balcony watching the planes. the beaches are beautiful and easy to get to and the locals are all very friendly and helpful, really happy to recommend this property.

Mrs C,

Lovely house and location was great especially if your interested in Planes we had our own Red arrows display , it was just a shame we couldn't have stayed longer.

Mrs N,

Really great, comfortable and well equipped house. Great location for exploring Anglesey. Good local shops, and only 10 minutes drive to main shops / supermarkets in Holyhead. Fantastic views across to the Snowdonia Mountains, and we loved watching the planes taking off from RAF Valley.

Mr B,

The house is spacious and comfortable-it was nice to relax on the balcony with a drink.......although, we did feel attention to detail was lacking in some areas! The location of the property is perfect for exploring the island- the weather was amazing for September-we had a pleasant week.

Mrs B,

The cottage is very well presented and easy to find. Very roomy and spotlessly clean. We loved Anglessey, and the cottage's location was a great base for journeying around. There are some great restaurants nearby and some beautiful beaches too.

Mr D,

Lovely property in a very peaceful area. Great facilities and views, with everything you could need and more. Lots to do in the local area, would highly recommend .

Mr H,

We had such a wonderful time at the house everything was very nice and not to far from all the things we wanted to do and see the views were lovely and it was very Private and peaceful we would not hesitate to rebook again

Miss B,

Ger y Bont was well decorated and comfortable but the lack of a welcome pack, toilet rolls and condiments meant we had to shop immediately. Also feel the information pack needed updating (including recycling information).

Mr O,

A beautiful property very comfortable and within easy distance for beaches etc which are fantastic we all loved it .

Mrs W,

Ger Y Bont offers spacious and comfortable accommodation suitable for family gatherings. Its a great house for good access to the rugged cliffs and coves of Holy Island, the beaches of Anglesey and also the mountains and coastal towns of North Wales. Tip top!

Mr K,

Map

Located in the pretty village of Pont Rhyd-y-Bont (Four Mile Bridge), this beautiful, detached property is within a 100 yards of the Cymyran Strait and a bridge that connects the Isle of Anglesey with Holy Island. Often referred to as the Inland Sea, the ebb and tide provides an ever-changing display of nature that creates what is almost a lagoon when the tide is in.

Situated on the Anglesey side of the bridge, between Valley (1 mile) and Trearddur Bay (2 miles), Ger y Bont offers mountain and 'Inland' sea views from the living areas, balcony, rear bedrooms and garden. Access the Wales Coast Path a few steps away from the doorstep, as well as the 'lagoon' which is ideal for swimming, fishing, sailing or sail/paddle boarding.

The nearest shops can be found in the village of Valley with a range of shops including two groceries, post office, chemist and butcher. There is also a tea room, two fish and chips shops, pizza takeaway and Chinese takeaway. Some of the best restaurants in the area include Anchorage Hotel at Four Mile Bridge (0.5 mile), Catch 22 (brasserie restaurant), Valley Hotel and Bull Hotel in Valley (1 mile), Sea Shanty and Black Seal in Trearddur Bay (2 miles) and White Eagle in Rhoscolyn (2 miles). The Anchorage Hotel is also ideal for a relaxing drink.

Some of the main attractions nearby include the two stunning beaches at Trearddur Bay and Rhoscolyn, Cartio Môn go-carting (3.5m), Breakwater Country Park and a cinema in Holyhead (6.5m) and South Stack Lighthouse (7.5m). Some of the other highly recommended days out on Anglesey includes Beaumaris with its World Heritage castle and gaol, glorious Blue Flag beaches, as well as Llanddwyn Island, steeped in history and legend and closely associated with the Patron Saint for lovers in Wales, Saint Dwynwen.

For younger visitors Pili Palas’ butterfly centre offers a magical experience and also features birds, snakes and other exotic species. Anglesey Sea Zoo, Wales’ biggest aquarium offers an amazing world of marine life, shipwrecks and shark pool grids. The short bridge crossing to mainland North Wales offers even more family attractions including Greenwood Forest Park, Gypsy Forest, Hwylfan Fun Centre and so much more.
