Amroth Beach - Best of Wales holiday destination

Stay at Best of Wales’ luxury holiday cottage in Amroth, Pembrokeshire. Amroth has a wide, south facing, sandy beach. The water quality at Amroth regularly attains the highest Blue Flag standards. Amroth is ideal for windsurfing, swimming and family beach games. The main village is at the west end where you can find another pub, a village shop and a cafe. Amroth cottage (sleeps 5) is located only , 200 yards from Amroth Beach. A comfortably furnished holiday cottage with 10 acres of woodland to roam in. The start of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire coastal path begins here and is ideal for ramblers wishing to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery on route. The holiday cottage is 3 miles from Saundersfoot and 8 miles from Tenby.

Amroth is a very popular family bathing beach, most of Amroth beach is subject to a dog ban from 1st May to 30th September. Only the very eastern end, well beyond Amroth Castle holiday park, is exempt from the dog ban. The beach stretches the whole length of Amroth village. Nearby are the National Trust owned Colby Woods and Gardens. The gardens are a must for visitors, particularly during Spring and Autumn. There are also open air theatre and family events usually happening throughout the summer. There are plenty of small camp sites, caravan sites and a few large holiday parks nearby. There are some quality B&Bs and hotels in the vicinity and in nearby Saundersfoot.Cottage details :Ground FloorDownstairs there is a large lounge/dining room and a kitchen with breakfast table and seating for up to six people. There is digital TV with cinema surround sound, DVD and CD player with built in I-Pod dock, WI-FI and Broadband, appliances include washing machine/tumble drier, fridge, microwave, cooker, toaster and night store heating.UpstairsThis Cottage sleeps five and has two bedrooms with a double bed in one room, a single and bunk beds in the other. There is a large bathroom with bath and over bath electric shower. Towels are provided but soap and shampoo are not, you may also wish to bring a hair dryer.GardenOutside there is parking for one car with room for three in the lane opposite (please leave access clear for farm vehicles to go through). The lawn and shrubs take up half an acre and there are ten acres of woodland running all the way down to the seafront, there is an old pig sty converted into a storage shed for garden furniture (wooden table and four chairs included) bicycles can be securely stored here should you be contemplating a Pembrokeshire cycling holiday, also useful for windsurfers and wet suits etc.
