This is a very good property for a family get away. The hosts are warm and welcoming and available for any emergencies. The property itself is well maintained, clean and family friendly.Mrs Gayathri Subramanian - 21st August 2018
We recommend this beautiful property, where the owners went to so much trouble to welcome us, both there and in their smallest town in the UK. What a setting for a BBQ after a spell in the hot tub! The area has much of interest and the countryside is breath taking. We also found the Wales Cottage Holidays company easy to use and the staff both friendly and helpful.Mrs Christine Honeywill - 20th August 2018
The property was well equipped, very warm and comfortable. After a long journey it was good to have waiting for us the makings for a cup of tea and some tasty Welsh cakes.Susan from Hampshire - 6th May 2018
Absolutely loved our stay, can't wait to go again! Kate from Cambridgeshire - 16th January 2018
We loved our stay at Llety Llanwrtyd.
Susan, the host, welcomed us with real energy and warmth not long before midnight! There is lots of information on local activities in the house. The house was immaculately clean with lots of space and comfortable furniture. The two en-suite bedrooms facilitated two families sharing really well, with a large family bathroom and shower room in addition and seemingly endless hot water. The dining space was great for 10 with plenty of plates and cutlery. The view was fabulous, particularly from the garden. The garden is a good space We loved walking directly from the house and had an adventure scrambling up banks and wading through rivers with the wild ponies looking on- I think we need to improve our map-reading skills... The children ( aged 5-20) swam in the nearby 'Washing pool" - very cold but lots of fun. We enjoyed watching the Red Kites soar at the Kite feeding centre and the amazing views on the Elan Valley Dam walk. The local heritage centre (spearheaded by Susan) explained the local history well.Amanda - 30th August 2017
The house was more wonderful than I could have imagined.
The pictures can't do it justice, it is lovely and feels so homely. The facilities were great and owner was very welcoming. Driving through the Brecon Beacons and on the Black mountains is lovely. Yffarmer is in the middle of nowhere, but it's a lovely pub that serves the best steak! Can't wait to return ...Friends from Chessington - 13th April 2016

This Llanwrtyd Wells accommodation is located about 1.5 miles from the small town of Llanwrtyd Wells which has several pubs, restaurants, and small shops. Llanwrtyd lies between the Brecon Breacons and the Elan Valley in a area of outstanding natural beauty and wilderness. The cottage is within a beautiful valley that has been classed a site of special scientific interest due to the diverse range of many rare birds, animals and plants. The cottage is mainly detached although is linked to another building via some old farm outbuildings. Nearby there is another cottage - Ffermdy Llanwrtyd and these can be booked together.
Right in the heart of Wales, this Llanwrtyd Wells accommodation is the perfect location for exploring the Brecon Beacons, Cambrian Mountains and the hills, valleys and forests that are the great outdoors of Mid Wales, as well as the nearby towns of Builth Wells, Llandovery and Brecon. In Victorian times, Llanwrtyd Wells was a fashionable spa town and many of its hotels date back to that time.
The area around Llanwrtyd Wells is full of natural beauty and breathtaking scenery, making it an ideal centre for walking, mountain biking, bird watching and touring. As you drive through Mid Wales it is often possible to spot a red kite, one of Britain’s rarest birds. There are plenty of options for walking and hiking nearby in the Irfon Forest and around the Llyn Brianne Reservoir, an artificial lake which was created in the 70′s when the River Towy was dammed. At times of low rainfall, it is sometimes possible to see the roofs of the houses which had to be flooded in order for the dam to go ahead.
There is a lot going on in Llanwrtyd Wells throughout the year, so if you are looking for something a little bit different, then this is the place to come. This Mid Wales town is the home of the Man versus Horse Marathons, the World Bog Snorkeling Championships and the Real Ale Ramble.
The 15 mile route around Llyn Brianne provides some of the most splendid views available in Wales. Leaping Stiles provides some excellent suggestions for walking in the area. There are also many local trail and hill walks from the cottage. 0.2 miles.
