Description

Get together with friends and family and enjoy your own secluded setting in this beautiful, hidden valley. Located just 1 mile from the pretty village of Cemaes with its own village shop, cafe and pub and central to the market towns of Machynlleth and Dolgellau. Snowdonia mountains and Cardigan Bay beaches are all within easy reach.

Alternatively, you can simply sit back and be inspired by the countryside tranquility and views, to the sound of the stream and birdsong. With 2 games rooms (pool table, air hockey and table football), an in-ground trampoline, swings, slides etc, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained on site. The grounds around your two semi-detached cottages can also be opened up into one large, enclosed area.

Glyndwr's Way meanders through the farm and this national trail will lead you to Machynlleth (the Ancient Capital of Wales) or, in the other direction, all the way to Offa's Dyke. Part of the Dyfi Valley, the Dyfi River flows from Aran Fawddwy (the highest mountain in southern Snowdonia) to the sea in Aberdyfi where you will find a stunning beach with plenty of amenities (18 miles). With an UNESCO recognition as the Dyfi Biosphere, this is an excellent and central base to explore Mid Wales.

Reviews

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! The outdoor space was perfect for our kids to play and explore, and we really appreciated how clean and well-maintained the cottage was. The location couldn't have been better – it was so convenient and offered easy access to everything we wanted to do. Highly recommend

Miss S,

The house was very well equipped for large groups and families. We enjoyed all the facilities had to offer.

Mrs M,

lovely cosy properties with well equipped kitchens and mod cons in an idyllic location. Spent Christmas there with the extended family and according to one and all we had a great time.

Mr T,

Absolutely lovely cottage and barn in a lovely location in the hills. The hosts are amazing, excellent communication and sorted any problems out. They also recommended walks, dog kennel and baked a cake for the birthday girl! Couldn't ask for better owners! Would definitely recommend and book to stay again. Thank you owners it was fab and we had the best time!

Miss P,

I booked both cottages for a family break and surprise Birthday celebration for my wife. The property, the setting, the views were all simply fantastic, so tranquil and relaxing. The whole family were able to enjoy North Wales to the full and return to an amazing, welcoming cottage and relax in front of a glowing log burner. We are looking forward to rebooking real soon.

Mr S,

Fantastic property, owners very attentive, will definitely be returning ❤️

Mrs G,

Absolutely loved it and will return!

Miss A,

Great cottages and fantastic view.Lovely and spacious and having the games rooms was an added bonus. There was 9 of us and it felt like home from home. Everything we needed was there. Our time was too short as we we were only there from Friday-Sunday morning.

Mrs A,

Amazing place! The location is stunning! very tranquil. The cottages are beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The games rooms are fun, the children enjoyed the outdoor area, there is plenty of equiptment in the kitchens and the showers have good pressure. There's lovely countryside to go for walks and there's a big co-op supermarket about 15 mins away that delivers to the cottage. We got an asda delivery on arrival day. The owner has a cake making business called Cegin Eos. We ordered some gluten, dairy and soya free cupcakes which were delicious. The owners are very friendly and very fast to respond to queries We loved it so much we have re-booked for next year.

Mrs S,

The location and houses were absolutely fabulous and cannot be faulted. Likewise the communication from the owners. Would not hesitate to recommend. We will go back!

Mrs P,

The cottages (we rented both, to accommodate our family of 6 adults and 5 kids, between the ages of 3-18) are beautifully situated about a mile off the main road, surrounded by trees and farmland. Very peaceful, with stunning views across the valley. Both cottages a well equipped, and the view from the upper lounge in the smaller house is fantastic. Plenty of living space, the bedrooms are all sizeable, and beds very comfortable with ample storage space - wardrobes, drawers etc to house a weeks worth of clothes etc. The property has plenty of outdoor space, with nice garden furniture, and a fabulous little playground for smaller children, including a climbing house, swings and a trampoline. Inside, a pool table, air hockey and table football are all a real plus, and allowed plenty of entertainment in the evenings, which was important for us. Unfortunately, the pub in the village (Penrhos Arms) appears to be closed, so the nearest places to eat or drink are a few miles away, but that's a minor inconvenience (and didnt bother us at all) as once you're settled in the cottage(s) you won't want to go out. Highly recommend, and we'd definitely return.

Mr I H,

It was as advertised. Lovely cottages in a lovely spot. The welcome basket was a nice treat

Mr L,

Wonderful cottages set in beautiful surroundings, lovely open plan garden which was great for the kids to ride bokes/scooters. Both cottages have lovely comfortable sitting areas, beds are great and the kitchen are stocked with all the equipment you could need. Highly recommend the owners cakes, delicious!

Mr M,

The Cottages were set in beautiful surroundings. Both cottages were well equipped, clean and furnished to a high degree too!

Mrs D,

This property is outstanding! We had a group of 10 go and stay at this property and every single person couldn’t rate it more highly. The owner was very accommodating and helped with everything we needed. The location is unreal, if you’re looking for a getaway in a quiet location to just chill then this is the spot! 100% will be retuning

Mr C,
