Spectacular cottage in every sense of the word. This brand new conversion retains all its original features, including floor to ceiling arched windows, high ceilings with skylights, beams and stone walls. Add to that the tranquil, rural surroundings and the scene is set if you wish to relax and do absolutely nothing for the duration of you holiday. However, it should also be mentioned that Wales’ highest mountain (Snowdon), Greenwood Forest Park, the National Water Sports Centre for Wales and the longest zip wire in Europe are all within minutes of your doorstep, which also makes it perfect for activity holidays in Wales.
New, contemporary white glossy kitchen including electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge with ice-box and microwave. Wonderful garden views, original stone walls, high beams and spotlights all combine to create a light, spacious atmosphere. Stable doors (top half glazed) open up to the rear patio area.
The beautiful living / dining area includes original beams, stone walls and large patio doors in an arched frame offering stunning countryside views and a great sense of space. These open up to the patio area and to the fields beyond. You really could sit back on the leather settees or on the patio seats and spend all day admiring and absorbing the tranquil, green surroundings. Alternatively, if you're here for activity holidays in Wales, there is no better way to end the day than to come home to a comfortable sofa with calming, extensive views. The living area also includes a Georgian dining table and a 32” wall mounted TV/DVD player.
Bedroom 1 - Light and airy double bedroom with high ceilings, original beams, stone walls and countryside views. Dressing table and plenty of storage space in the wardrobe and drawers.
Bedroom 2 - Spacious twin bedroom, again with original stone walls and beams. Includes a skylight window, large wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Bathroom includes a bath with a shower above and a heated towel rail. Illuminated mirror, shaving point, original stone walls and recessed spot lighting.
Expansive patio area with a range of modern patio furniture, fire pits and traditional stone walls. Similar to the lounge, the views from the patio are spectacular and it’s a wonderful spot for wildlife and bird watching.

Ty Menai is perfectly located for the sites of northern Snowdonia and Anglesey. The host was very welcoming and helpful in providing tips for places to go. The property itself is immaculate, with plenty of character whilst having all modern comforts. It is set in an incredibly peaceful location. Visit Zipworld for something different to do. Penrhyn Castle is very impressive. Dylan's in Menai Bridge is a must for eating out.Lloyd from Cardiff - 1st November 2017
We had booked the Zip Wire & Fforest Coaster and wanted to stay somewhere quiet to explore the area. Ty Menai was perfect! A beautifully restored diary. A double room and twin room, large sitting/ dining room and well equipped modern kitchen. Outside was a sitting area to sip your wine in the evening sunshine whilst watching the wildlife, sheep, cows all around you. A perfect retreat and base to explore North Wales from.
The Zip Wire is 20 minutes away which was a fabulous experience! We are in our 50's and loved every second. We then went on to do the newly opened Fforest Coaster ride - highly recommended! From the cottage we walked down to Y Felinheli and had dinner in the local pub - delicous! Everything is nearby - Caernarfon, Beaumaris, Portmeirion, Bangor, Snowdon, Surf Snowdonia. It really is an ideal place to be. We had lunch twice at The Ugly House - go there - it is a really special place!Lynne from Hartpury, Gloucestershire - 22nd May 2017
Lovely property in remote area with beautiful views. Two very good local pubs for dinner - Gors Bach Inn and Garddfon Inn.Couple from Swanley - 16th May 2017
Lovely well presented cottage with modern facilities and very friendly and helpful owners.
Don't miss the boat trip to Puffin Island from Beaumaris if you like to spot seals and birds, the boat gets good and close, and take a look at the National Trust Top 10 Walks in Snowdonia - many are close by - for a range of suggestions to see some of the most beautiful views in Britain.Rebecca from Chesterfield - 25th April 2017
