Reviews

It's a very nice place to stay. Very comfortable und quiet. The landscape is wonderful.

Mrs O,

Cottage was lovely. Hi-spec barn conversion with everything we needed and the hosts, Liz and Gareth were lovely and friendly with great local knowledge. Location was good with plenty of beautiful walks including waterfalls. Also not too far from Barmouth, Portmeirion and Mount Snowdon.Recommend pre-booking the Snowdon railway if you go up that way as it gets very booked up. All in all, a lovely area with great accommodation. Thank you Liz and Gareth.

Mr P,

It is a lovely place; quiet and very comfortabele. The owners are helpfull and friendly.

Mrs C,

Excellent from start to finish Perhaps the only improvement would be if Liz and Gareth could arrange for it to rain a little less!

Mr H,

Excellent, comfortable and clean

Mr R,

We had an amazing stay with Liz and Gareth (and Nel the dog) at Cuddfan Idris. This holiday home is an absolute gem and suited our needs perfectly for sightseeing in North Wales. We loved the peace and quietness of the countryside, but you are never far away from attractions in the area. We only wish we had more time to enjoy the peace and quiet of their lovely property. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for that special holiday. Liz and Gareth are amazing hosts and were in contact with us prior to our arrival to ask if we needed any information to help with our stay, first class service. Having come from New Zealand it was awesome to have this personal touch and ensured we were happy with our decision. Would definitely stay at this property again if we return to Wales.

Mrs S,

A lovely return stay to this very well equipped and cosy cottage with easy reach of the mountains, Mawddach Estuary and Coed-Y-Brenin mountain bike centre. Very welcoming hosts and we’ll definitely be back!

Mrs B,

We had an excellent short break at Cuddfan Idris. The property is just as described on the website; it is light, spacious and finished to a high spec. The owners are on hand, friendly but not intrusive. There are walks direct from the property, into the beautiful countryside around. The location is excellent, with Dolgellau within a short drive, but we really enjoyed sitting in the garden, looking out onto the mountains!

Ms De R,

Very clean and well equipped cottage, quiet location, lots to see nearby.

Mr B,

Very well designed, beautiful and light barn conversion with comfortable bed, large walk-in shower, modern kitchen with large fridge + freezer and comfortable sitting area…set in peaceful and lovely surroundings (even in the pouring rain!) with plenty of walks from the door and beyond with stunning views. Very friendly and helpful (but not intrusive) hosts live next door. We will be back. Original Cottages made the booking process and all follow-up communications straightforward and easy.

Mrs L,
