Reviews

A great property for relaxing and watching the ever changing view, loved it.

Mrs R,

The communication was good and the property was excellent.

Mrs Denise J,

A few little niggles, insufficient towels provided for our booking of four people. Not a problem as the rest of the family unable to join us due to illness. Second bedroom well furnished bar no towels but had a damp smell, again no problem as only two of us could make it. The two loo rolls promised were half empty so again would have run out if 4 guests. A warning that key safe is situated over 6 feet up is needed, I couldn’t access it ,my husband who is 6ft 3ins could only just read the numbers. Lots of positives re the location and views but though cliff path is close to property some warning of how difficult it is to access and need for sturdy walking boots would have been appreciated. We did have a contact number for the owners but when you go on holiday you don’t want to have to sort out irritating niggles it should just be for unforeseen emergencies.

Mrs Eleanor D,

Map

This is a detached holiday cottage which is built into the cliffside. The cottage is secluded and surrounded by 52 acres of farm land. The Wales Coastal Path passes beneath the cottage and you can join the path and walk to the beaches of Llangrannog or Cwmtydu. Llangrannog is a lovely little coastal village with great local pubs and a family friendly beach. There is also an Urdd Activity Centre in Llangrannog which can offer skiing, quad biking and much more.

After watching the dolphins in the bay, you can get even closer to these wonderful creatures by booking a dolphin watching trip from New Quay harbour. New Quay is a picturesque coastal town with a range of shops, pubs and restaurants. There are many stunning beaches in the area including Tresaith, Aberporth and Penbryn, all of which can be reached on foot or a short car journey. Tresaith is also a great excuse for a day trip – another pretty village with a sandy beach, located 8 miles to the south.

One of the most spectacular walks in the area is around the headland of Ynys Lochtyn (owned by the National Trust) and down to Llangrannog village, past Cilborth beach. If the tide is out, this is also a great opportunity to explore the eight bays along the coast of Llangrannog. You are never far away from the sight of the coast. Other attractions and activities in the area include surfing and body boarding at Llangrannog and Cilborth Bay, Cwmrhydneuadd Golf Club, Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, Felinwynt Rainforest Centre and New Quay Honey Centre.
